New year means new opportunities to support UCI HD-CARE! OC Marathon May 6th & 7th 2023 is offering Kids Run, 5K Run, Half Marathon, and a Full Marathon, and we are entering as a charity partner this year.
Come join the fun as we will have food, snacks, and hydration for our runners! This 2-day event is a way to connect our community and have fun raising money for our cause.
Interested in Participating as a Runner?
- Visit OC Marathon and click “Register Now”.
- Place all of your information and be sure to choose the following run:
- 5K
- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
- 5K/Half Marathon Combo Crush
- 5K/Full Marathon Combo Crush
- Or Virtual Event
- At the bottom, you should be asked “would you like to join or create a Team/Club?” Click Yes.
- Make sure to join the Team/Club HD-CARE and to enter event code HDCARE10 for 10% discount.
Interested in Participating as a “Runraiser” to try to RUN FOR FREE?
What is a Runraiser? A runner and fundraiser combined! Want a chance to represent our charity and earn money to run for free? Follow the instructions below!
- Register to run, walk, or skip for free! Choose either the 5K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon, or any Combo Crush event.
- Once you are registered, click create a fundraising page on the bottom right and sure to include our charity that you will be supporting (HD-CARE) to raise money for our cause. Below are the fundraising minimums for each event. Reaching the minimums will get you reimbursed for your run!
- 5K – $150
- Half Marathon – $350
- Full Marathon – $500
- Half Combo Crush – $500
- Full Combo Crush – $650
*To clarify, signing up as an individual fundraiser for our charity is all you need to do to try to run for free. However, if you have a group of friends or a club you want to make a fundraising team for HD-CARE, we encourage it! The teams that earn enough money for HD-CARE has a chance to win prizes!! All money made by a fundraising team for HD-CARE will go straight towards making a better tomorrow for the HD community.
